Springers sweep TDIT finals

The Highland Springs boys beat defending state champion John Marshall 74-66 in overtime to win their 4th Times-Dispatch Invitational title. It was also win #680 in the career of head coach George Lancaster

The Highland Springs girls also won their TDIT final over Glen Allen 87-43. Cece Crudup and Jennifer Coleman each scored 22, while Cam Gatling added 20 to keep the Lady Springers undefeated

Richmond beat IUPUI 57-53 for their 4th straight win. The Spiders remain undefeated at home this year

Frank Beamer has been cleared by doctors to coach in Saturday's Military Bowl, but he will do so from the coaches box upstairs
