This modern twist on Ambrosia Salad will make grandma proud

RICHMOND, Va - Chef Vivian Howard, Host of PBS’ ‘A Chef’s Life,’ stopped by the studio to mix up a modern take on ambrosia salad, complete with fresh fruit and topped with roasted pistachios. Vivian’s describes her twist on the classic holiday dessert as a healthy, more balanced dish, but one that doesn’t skimp on the sweet. You can meet Vivian and watch a cooking demo on Thursday, December 11th from 3pm to 6pm at Southern Season on Staples Mill Road. The new season of ‘A Chef’s Life’ premieres Saturday, December 20th at 11am on PBS. Vivian will be featured in a special one-hour documentary ‘A Chef’s Holiday Special’ on Tuesday, December 16th at 10pm.
