HOUSTON, Tex. — An Amber Alert remains in effect for an 11-month-old boy after the child’s mother was found dead in a refrigerator in Houston on Monday.

KPRC reports that authorities believe the boy, Achilles Lambert, is with his father, Patrick Lambert.

Investigators, who on Tuesday removed the refrigerator where they found 27-year-old Anastacia Oaikhena-Lambert’s body stuffed inside, think the victim may have been inside the fridge for up to three weeks.

Patrick Lambert  is being called “a person of interest” in the death of a woman who was found stuffed inside a refrigerator inside this southwest Houston apartment.

Police also issued an Amber Alert for the woman’s 11-month-old son.

“We’ve been unable to contact any family to see if the child is with anyone else and that’s our biggest concern right now making sure the boy is safe,” said Sgt. Jason Robles with Houston police.

Police said Oaikhena-Lambert, who lived the apartment with her baby, had not been seen for about a week.

Officials said the baby’s father, Patrick Lambert, is believed to have stayed there off and on.

Several residents reported a foul odor coming from the apartment. That’s when maintenance staff went inside and made the gruesome discovery inside the fridge.

Susan Washington, who has lived at the apartment complex for 24 years, said it is a tightknit community.

“I’m very shocked,” Washington said. “We all kind of watch out of everybody. This is definitely the worst.”

“It’s going to be in the public’s hands right now, anybody who knows Mr. Lambert or the family to contact Homicide division,” Robles said.

Police are still looking for evidence and hope someone will tip them off to Lambert ‘s whereabouts.
