RICHMOND, Va - Based on the Pulitzer Prize Winning Novel by Alice Walker, Virginia Repertory Theatre brings the Stage Musical, ‘The Color Purple’ to the River City. Lead Actresses Desiree Roots Centeio and Felicia Curry talk about their roles, and we heard a wonderful performance from the cast’s choir. You can enjoy a preview Thursday, June 19th at 8pm and the curtain opens on Friday, June 20th at 8pm and runs until August 3rd.
