RICHMOND, Va (WTVR) - In March of 1863 an explosion took place on Brown's Island that claimed 45 lives. Kathryn O’Meara with the Irish American Society of Greater Richmond and Lainey Riddell who is representing Mary Ryan, a worker who was involved in the accident joined us to share more about an upcoming dedication. The dedication of the historic marker will take place Saturday, March 29th  at 3pm at the Hollywood Cemetery, 412 South Cherry Street in Richmond. For more information visit www.RVAIrish.com
