CNN) — Kerry Kennedy, daughter of the late Sen. Robert F. Kennedy, has been acquitted of charges that she was driving while her abilities were impaired.
A jury deliberated for approximately an hour and 10 minutes.
Kennedy hugged her lawyers after the verdict was read.
After the jurors left the courtroom, Kennedy supporters applauded as Kerry Kennedy shook the hands of the prosecutors.
