RICHMOND, Va (WTVR)- Richmond fire crews battled an apartment fire Saturday morning.
According to Lt. Robbie Hagaman, around 11a.m., crews received a call for a large amount of smoke coming from a two-story apartment complex located on the 5800 Orcutt Lane.
When they arrived they found a small fire in a bedroom of a ground floor unit.
According to Lt. Shawn Jones, crews were able to quickly contain the fire in 11 minutes.
Five people where inside the apartment, and were able to make it out safely.
No injuries have been reported.
The cause of the fire has been deemed to be accidental.
