RICHMOND, Va (WTVR) - The winter is a tough time for blood banks, people travel, and bad weather slows down donations. Virginia Blood Services is a local provider for many area hospitals, including VCU, and it takes close to 400 blood donations every day to meet the needs for local patients. You can help your community by donating blood at the Resolution Blood Drive. There will be free food, and raffle prizes! The 2014 Resolution Blood Drive is taking place Monday, January 13th from 9AM to 7PM at the Sheraton Hotel located at 2825 Emerywood Parkway.
