RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) -- Hollywood Costume, is the latest and newest Exhibition on display at the Virginia Museum Of Fine Arts, runs Saturday, Nov. 9 through Feb. 17.
The highly-anticipated exhibition celebrates the role of costume design in nearly a century of American cinema. The VMFA is the only place you can see the iconic consumes on the East Coast.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see clothes worn by beloved characters in films like The Wizard of Oz, The Birds, My Fair Lady, Spiderman, Titanic, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince and The Dark Knight Rises and dozens more.
Additionally, many of the costumes have never been publicly displayed or seen beyond the secure walls of studio archives.
In addition to Hollywood Costume, a number of programs will compliment the exhibition including adult studio classes, family event and teen and children's programs.
Also taking place is the 60 Films/60 Days, which is a-movie-a-day extravaganza, runs from Nov. 29 through Jan. 31. The museum will present 60 movie titles featuring costumes from Hollywood Costume.
