FULTON COUNTY, Ga. (WTVR) -- An Atlanta-area high school cheerleader is now a world record holder.

Mikayla Clark did a whopping 44 back handsprings in a row, breaking the previous record of 36.

The Westlake High School junior has been working toward this goal since the beginning of the football season, according to her coach.

WSB-TV reports Clark, who has been cheering since she was four years old, is a member of the Georgia All Stars competition squad.

Clark's coach said the teen is expecting to receive an official certificate from Guinness World Records this week.
