RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR)-–The City’s Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Facilities has scheduled one last free movie in the park.
This coming Friday, Oct. 4, “Wreck-It Ralph” will show in Byrd Park.
The animated Disney movie features the loveable Ralph, who has lived 30 years as a video game villain, but he’s having a mid-life crisis so to speak and is tired of always being the bad guy. He longs to be the hero for a change, and sets out to fulfill this dream. However, all realities being interconnected sort of thing, his quest brings havoc to the whole arcade in which he lives.
This PG-rated film promises to be great entertainment for the entire family.
The program will begin at 6:30 p.m. beside Fountain Lake in Byrd Park.
Free sodas and popcorn will be available to the first 500 people. Refreshments will be on sale also, and movie-goers are encouraged to bring a blanket or their own chairs.
This program is co-sponsored by Pepsi, 106.5 the Beat, The CW Richmond, Bounce Richmond and the Friends of Byrd Park.
