HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) -- A vigil was held Thursday night for a mother found murdered last week in the woods near her Henrico apartment.
That's where friends and family gathered to remember Samantha O’Quinn.
Police arrested Blake Bryant, the 28-year-old's boyfriend, and charged him in connection with her murder.
Bryant's ex-wife said last week that he and O'Quinn had a toxic relationship.
She said she married the young Marine in 2001, when he was just out of Boot Camp. Shortly after the birth of their first child in 2002, Bryant deployed to a war zone in Iraq for 11 months. His ex-wife said, he returned a changed man.
Bryant is slated to appear in Henrico’s Juvenile and Domestic Relations court on Nov. 1 at 10 a.m
