RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR)–The producers of RVACON announced a last minute venue change from Plant Zero to the Canal Club.
RVACON organizers explained the move to the Canal Club as a strategy that allows for the addition of tent space, food trucks, and more parking in Shockoe Bottom.
Additionally they said that the move will allow RVACON to host hundreds more people, in anticipation of what they say is shaping up to be a massive event.
RVACON is Richmond’s first convention focused on showcasing anime, comics, gaming, technology and music culture. There will be panel speakers, workshops, performances and family entertainment.
The event starts Friday, Sept. 27 and runs through Sunday, Sept. 29.
