ASSUMPTION PARISH, Louisiana (WTVR) — Some extreme video has surfaced of a sinkhole swallowing up part of a swamp in Louisiana.
Video shows the sinkhole swallowed a group of trees in Bayou Corne.
The sinkhole, which first appeared in the Assumption Parish waterway last year, prompted a mandatory evacuation for nearby residents.
State and federal agencies have been monitoring the sinkhole since then.
