RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) -- Memorial Day may be on Monday, but many folks spent the weekend honoring the men and women who gave their lives serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.
Some event highlights include the changing of the guard at Arlington National Cemetery to the engines of Rolling Thunder, the annual ride to raise awareness about prisoners of war and soldiers still missing in action.
Folks in Richmond turned out for the annual Rocketts Red Glare celebration at Rocketts Landing on Sunday. There was plenty of live music, food carts with yummy treats and of course, a big fireworks show.
The event benefited Connor’s Heroes, an organization that works to fight childhood cancer.
