RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Before you start your trip this holiday make plans that will give you a pleasant, stress-free commute. VDOT has suspended most highway construction and maintenance work zones over the Memorial Day weekend to reduce congestion and provide more space for commuters. Lane closures will be lifted from noon Friday until noon Tuesday.
