Richmond is where films about Presidents are made

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR)--Richmond will take center stage once more to tell the story about the life of a president.

The National Geographic Channel will film a television drama based on the Bill O'Reilly book  "Killing Kennedy."

It recounts events surrounding the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy, in Dallas, Texas.

The Virginia Film Office anticipates that around 300 people will be hired, between crew and extras.

On Governor Bob McDonnell`s economic development recent trip to California he met with Hollywood film executives about opportunities in Virginia.

Steven Spielberg filmed his "Lincoln" movie in the Richmond area in late 2011.
