Front pages capture, reflect horror at marathon

Look at this photo gallery of day-after headlines from newspapers in Boston, surrounding areas, and major cities.

View how these areas covered Monday’s terror attacks. The coverage for some of these newspapers is likely particularly heightened by the proximity of Boston to Newtown, Conn, where 26 people died in a school shooting just five months ago. The distance is roughly 140 miles between locations.

Several runners from Newtown completed the Boston Marathon before the explosion, and the 26th mile was dedicated to the victim’s in the shooting.
