Baby born on side of Dulles Toll Road

LEESBURG, Va. (WTVR) -- Drivers in Northern Virginia are used to accidents causing major delays during the morning commute, but on Monday it was a different story.

Sarah Bergeaux went into labor early Monday morning. She and her husband jumped into the car and drove as fast as possible to get to the hospital.

However,  just 15 minutes into the ride, the baby couldn't wait any longer, so Bergeaux was forced to deliver her own baby on the side of the Dulles Toll Road.

"I had planned to be at the hospital with doctors and medical personnel," laughed Bergeaux.

An ambulance came and carried mom and baby to the hospital. Both are doing just fine.
