Chapel Hill, N.C. —Norovirus has spread across the UNC Chapel Hill campus, leaving dozens of students with flu-like symptoms, WRAL reports.
Students have been complaining of symptoms such as vomiting, nausea, diarrhea and fever since last week. The number of cases has declined since its peak last Wednesday and Thursday.
Only five cases were reported on Monday, WRAL confirms.
85 students were given surveys to help officials determine the cause of the illnesses. The surveys focused on what students had eaten, and helped eliminate on campus locations as the source.
