NEWTOWN, Conn. (WTVR) — The children of Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Connecticut, are preparing to return to school.
They’ll be heading back to class Thursday at a different school three weeks after a gunman’s rampage took the lives of 20 children and six adults.
Families have been coming to see the re-purposed school, Chalk Hill, in nearby Monroe. An open house for parents and students took place Wednesday.
Administrators say police officers and grief counselors will be on hand for the students.
