HENRICO, Va. WTVR): The 2012 Capital City Kwanzaa Festival, Saturday, December 29th, from 1-9pm at The Showplace, 3000 Mechanicsville Turnpike. This year’s theme is “Return to the Source” with Guest Speaker, Creator of Kwanzaa Dr. Maulana Karenga.
The African Market opens at 1pm, performances by Kevin Davis & Ban Caribe, Africa Unplugged, Jon Bibbs, The Elegba Folklore Dancers & Drummers, workshops for adults and children, food and much more.
