LAS VEGAS, Nevada (CNN)–Police in Las Vegas say a man and woman are dead in a murder-suicide shooting at the Excalibur hotel and casino.

Police have not yet identified the male shooter, who died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, or his victim.

Police did say the woman worked with the hotel concierge desk. The hotel is open and the casino is operable.

It happened at about 8:30 p.m. near the high-rise hotel’s front entrance, police said.

An investigation is ongoing.
