RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR)—A male has suffered injury in the leg from gunfire by an acquaintance, Lt. Walters with the Richmond Police Department said.
Police were called to the 2000 block of Creighton Road at 12:50 Sunday afternoon to investigate reports of a shooting. On scene police found a black male, in his 30s, shot in the leg with non-life threatening injuries.
The victim was taken to VCU Medical, Lt. Walters said. Police said that the victim was shot by a person he knew, after the two had an altercation.
Police are still investigating why the men fought.
