PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Six people in Oregon were taken into custody after a food cart operator was allegedly assaulted in downtown Portland Monday afternoon.
Police say the operator of the Persian Plate was attacked by a group of people after he accused the group of cutting the gas line to a nearby food truck.
Another food cart vendor allegedly involved in the confrontation claims the incident was the culmination of several weeks of vandalism to their carts by the suspects.
The suspects range in age from 18 to 25.
They were expected to be charged with fourth-degree assault, menacing, harassment and second-degree disorderly conduct
