JESSUP, Md. (WTVR) – Maryland police charged a man they say is part of the Dead Man Inc. gang after finding marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a three-foot alligator at his home.

Anne Arundel County police said a search and seizure warrant was executed at a home in the 7500 block of Gleneagle Drive in Jessup on Friday as part of an investigation into drug trafficking allegations.

During the search detectives seized approximately 159 grams (five ounces) of Kush, a kind bud marijuana, in addition to miscellaneous drug paraphernalia, $792 in cash.

But police also recovered something rather unexpected on the premises: an American Alligator.

Police said Animal Control responded to the scene and captured the alligator. The alligator was said to be in good health, by police, and was later taken to a facility that handles exotic animals.

Thirty-two-year-old Michael Golden is currently charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of marijuana. Police said that additional charges are pending, and are waiting for crime lab detectives to determine the identity of unknown substances that were found at the home.
