NORTH CAROLINA (WTVR) - The Coast guard abandoned their search Thursday for the missing captain of the HMS Bounty.
On Friday the Coast Guard announced they were launching an investigation into what caused the the ship to sink.
A Coast Guard official says they want to determine whether it was the result of a mechanical failure or human error.
