RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – A small low pressure area organized enough Thursday morning to become Tropical Depression 16 northeast of the Bahamas. However, forecasters at the National Hurricane Center are not optimistic about giving 16 a name anytime soon. This little low will likely be sheared apart before it can intensify much further. In fact, no Tropical Storm Watches have been issued for the Bahamas, even though the Depression is tracking closer to them. This system should dissipate by the end of this week.
Keep track of the tropics HERE.
