They may not have football (yet) but the VCU Rams can still win in the fall.
Their men’s and women’s soccer programs, women’s volleyball and field hockey are all off to historic starts. Through Sept 18th, they were a combined 25-3-5 overall with Field Hockey 6-0, Volleyball 12-1, and men’s soccer also undefeated at 4-0-2.
All this comes just weeks after the school officials jumped to the A-10 conference…forcing these coaches to, in some cases, completely revamp their schedules while trying to put their teams through training camp.
First year athletic director Ed McLaughlin sat down with CBS 6 sports to talk about how well the fall Olympic sports are doing for the Rams program.
