SACRAMENTO (WTVR) - California lawmakers struck down a bill that would limit the number of gifts they are allowed to receive just to save their skin.
The Sacramento Bee listed California officials who have been getting free tickets to Disneyland. One state senator received $2,200 worth of tickets. Another received $1,800 worth of tickets.
One of the legislators says he gave the free tickets to his staff.
However, self-policing doesn't appear to be a major issue for the California state legislature. It is still legal for them to accept gifts.
