What started out as a small community gathering is now seven years in the making with hundreds of attendees and an event not to be missed. Our Lady Of Lourdes Catholic Church, 8200 Woodman Road, Henrico, is once again hosting their 7th Annual Filipino Festival Friday, August 10, 5-10pm and Saturday, 10am-10pm.
The festival is family friendly with a children’s area, Authentic Filipino Cuisine, BBQ, Pansit, Lumpia, Adobo, Halo-Halo, Lechon. Empanada and Leche Flan. There’s non-stop music with performances from Keith Horne and the Sports Bar Rock Star Band, Janet Martin, and D’Originals on Friday, Cedar Creek, McGill, Five and Dimers and an original Filipino Band “Th Band” performing on Saturday. It also features The Legend of The Ibong Adarna, Philippine Folk dancers, performances by the Latin Ballet of Virginia, cultural exhibits, vendors and games.
