Richmond Police Officers will take to the run-way in "Strutting for Domestic Violence Fashion Show", an evening to raise funds and awareness for Domestic and Sexual Violence. Police Officers wanted to start a Richmond Police emergency Fund for victims of domestic and sexual violence and proceeds from the first show will be used for shelter, medical bills, travel and other needs.
Police Officers will model in "Strutting for DV Fashion Show" Friday, July 20th, 6pm at The Robinson Theater, 2903 "Q" Street in Church Hill with Earl Fleming as the emcee. The show will also feature a speaker with facts about domestic violence and live performances by Gospel Groups.

Other events to benefit the emergency fund include: RPD first Domestic Violence Gala, Byrd Park Carillon, September 22nd, 7-11pm, tickets $75 or 2 for $140; 5th annual 5K Domestic Violence Walk, "Break the Silence" to honor lives lost in domestic violence, Saturday, October 6, 10am-2pm, Byrd Park and Domestic Violence first annual Golf Tournament at the Crossing Course - sponsors needed.
