RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Dominion Virginia Power is raising rates, sot it will cost you more to cool your home for the rest of the summer.
The rate hike correlates with the opening of a new Dominion plant in Southwest Virginia.
The average customer can expect to pay about $1.30 more a month.
Dominion Virginia Power says while you are paying more now, your bill could go back down this fall.
Additional adjustments are being worked out with state regulators that could drop the average bill by $4 a month, starting in September.
