RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder are one step closer to becoming the NBA champs. They stunned the San Antonio Spurs in a 107 to 99 victory last night, June 6, 2012.
Durant had 34 points and 14 rebounds while playing all of regulation for the first time this season.
Russell Westbrook added 25 points for the Thunder, which trailed Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals by 18 points in the first half, and erased a 15-point halftime deficit, before pulling ahead in the fourth.
The Oklahoma City Thunder will play for its first NBA title since moving from Seattle in 2008 to Oklahoma City. Game 1 of the NBA finals will be Tuesday night in Oklahoma City against either Boston or Miami. The Boston Celtics lead that series three to two as of Wednesday, and can earn a trip to the finals with a win at home in Game 6 Friday night.
