(WTVR) – If you’re thinking the title for Worst Traffic City in the U.S. goes to L.A., guess again. It’s actually Honolulu, Hawaii.
Drivers there waste about 58 hours a year sitting in their cars. That’s according to the new annual scorecard by traffic information services provider, INRIX. Los Angeles came in second.
No Virginia cities made the top-10 list, but near-by Washington, DC. ranked number 6. According to the scorecard, drivers in the nation’s capital sit in traffic an estimated 45 hours a year.
The new report also shows congestion in Honolulu, L.A., and some other cities has dropped 30 percent because of unemployment and higher gas prices.
