RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - Richmond will welcome home our Heroes from the Iraqi and Afghanistan Wars and your support is needed. A Parade is planned for the public to say thank you to Veterans Saturday, May 19, 10am, kicking off on the Boulevard and Kensington Avenue, heading South to the WWI Memorial at the Carillon in Byrd Park.
Organizer Robin Beres says A One stop Veterans Resource Village will be at the end of the parade route for Veterans and their families. On hand, state, local and federal veterans agencies as well as the Veterans Administration, McGuire Hospital, and service groups like the Paralyzed Veterans of America and Lonesome Dove Equestrian Center and veteran-friendly employers. There will also be a concert with local musicians in Dogwood Dell from 11:30am to 3pm.
