RICHMOND, VA, (WTVR) - Grab your walking shoes, your friends and family and GO! Discover Richmond, formerly Stride Through Time History Walk. Sports Backers and The Richmond Times Dispatch have joined forces to present the 6.2 mile course Saturday, May 5th.
GO! Discover Richmond takes you through some of Richmond's Historic neighborhoods well as some of Richmond's gems including shops, boutiques, restaurants and parks. Some of the featured attractions induce Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, Byrd Park, The Carillon, Windsor Farms, Grace Baptist Church, Carytown and Agecroft. There will be live music, sidewalk sales, and costumed re-enactors throughout the course.
The course starts and finishes at the Virginia Historical Society starting at 8:30 Saturday morning, registration open on-line through Thursday at midnight. Don't worry if you miss the on-line registration they'll accept walk ups Saturday morning at the Historical Society. get more details from www.sportsbackers.org.
