RICHMOND, Va. – At the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, Bridging RVA partnered with local schools to distribute meals for children who needed nutritious food at home. Lee Ann Sawyer and her team at Bridging RVA quickly identified the need to provide food to the entire family, and not just the student, so they created the Drop, Knock, Leave program. The program mobilizes a dedicated staff of volunteers on a weekly basis to make no-touch deliveries of groceries for local families. In its 26th week of operation, the Bridging RVA team is in need of your help and support to continue providing these resources to families as need and operating expenses increase.
