CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- Chesterfield County Police will begin a "traffic enforcement operation" on Hull Street Road along with several connecting roads next week.

The operation, from Sunday, Dec. 6 through Saturday, Dec. 12, will focus on speeding, aggressive driving, seat belt enforcement and drunken driving.

In addition to Hull Street, officers will also be watching connecting roads, including Courthouse Road, Turner Road, Old Hundred Road S., Winterpock Road.

The operation comes as police have investigated 10 traffic deaths in the Hull Street Road corridor this year.

Speed, alcohol and seat belt use have been the leading causes of these deaths, according to police.

In a new PSA, Chesterfield County police urges motorists to slow down and buckle up to save lives.
