CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- Police across the Richmond metro area are dealing with groups of thieves that are using diversion-style tactics to break the law.

Surveillance video from the 7 Eleven on Arch Road in Chesterfield shows a man walking in and asking the clerk for cartons of cigarettes. CI sources point out that right behind him, is another man fumbling around and loading up on loot, while a third suspect, a woman serves as a lookout.

Crime Insider sources say that 7 Elevens have been the main targets, but there are some other convenience stores in the mix.

The manager at the Arch Road 7-11 said his store has been targeted twice by the same group.

CI sources confirm at least six stores have been targeted on the Southside and other jurisdictions, such as Henrico are dealing with similar crimes.
