Police: Men stole $9,000 in cigarettes from Sam’s Club customer in Colonial Heights

COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. -- Police are looking for two suspects wanted for stealing more than $9,000 in cigarettes from a customer at the Sam's Club in Colonial Heights.

The reported grand larceny occurred on May 11 at around 4:40 p.m.

“After purchasing the cigarettes, the victim left their cart unattended to continue shopping,” said a Crime Solvers spokesperson. “While one of the suspects distracted the store employee near the exit, the other suspect exited the store with the cart full of cigarettes.”

The first suspect is a black male wearing a white jacket with black stripes down the sleeve and black pants. The second suspect is a black male wearing a tan jacket and tan pants.

Crime Solvers is offering a cash reward up to $1,000 for the case which is the Crime Solvers Crime of the Week. Tips will remain anonymous.
