Nikki-Dee Ray says goodbye to Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. -- Nikki-Dee Ray said goodbye to Richmond at the end of CBS 6 This Morning on Friday.

Nikki-Dee recently accepted a new job in Nashville, Tennessee.

"I am very excited, but very sad to be leaving everybody, " Nikki-Dee said at the end of Friday's broadcast. "I would just have to say thank you all for accepting me for me. I have never felt so much like myself. I came here and you guys were family immediately. It didn't matter if you were in Richmond, you were in Whitestone. Warsaw, you were over into Victoria, Virginia. You all have truly been so amazing to our family. you've prayed with us, you've loved on us. And I will forever be grateful. And I will forever still be a part of your family as well. So thank you so much."

Nikki-Dee was the morning meteorologist at CBS 6 for five years. Tom Patton will resume his role at morning meteorologist on Monday.
