HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- A dog was killed and one person was injured in a house fire in Henrico County on Tuesday.
Around 2:30 p.m., firefighters responded to 2101 Valentine Road in Henrico for reports of a two-story house fire.
Four adult occupants were able to safely evacuate, and one suffered minor injuries but was not taken to the hospital. Unfortunately, a dog died inside of the fire.
The Red Cross will assist the displaced residents with their housing needs.
Officials are still investigating the cause of the fire and where it started.
