RICHMOND, Va. -- A northern Virginia couple is asking for help finding their lost dog, Charlie, who went missing from the Lakeside area on Wednesday, Nov. 11.

His owners, Sean and Hannah Murphy, live in Arlington.

The couple dropped Charlie off at their parents' house in Richmond while they went on vacation, but Charlie got loose and ran away and has not been seen since.

The Murphys have been traveling from Arlington to Richmond every weekend to look for their six-year-old dog.

There have been Charlie sightings in the Bellevue area.

The couple said they are growing desperate for help, especially with the recent colder weather.

Charlie, who suffers from anxiety, will run away if you try to chase him and is afraid of loud noises.

But his owners said he does like peanut butter and cheese.

If you think you've seen Charlie, reach out to the Murphys on Instagram at @find_charlie_murphyand on the Facebook page, Help find Charlie Murphy.
