Annual Diaper Drive hopes to help Chesterfield, Colonial Heights families

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- A Chesterfield County "Diaper Drive" hopes to collect thousands of diapers to support parents experiencing financial hardships.

Chesterfield-Colonial Heights Families First, a program of Chesterfield County’s Department of Mental Health Support Services, will hold its 7th annual children’s Diaper Drive throughout the month of March.

The collected diapers and supplies will assist families throughout Chesterfield and Colonial Heights who are enrolled with Families First, a nationally accredited program which provides family support services to first-time parents to ensure their children are "healthy, well-adjusted individuals ready to start school by age 5."

The agency hopes to collect more than 14,000 diapers as well as pull-ups and wipes.

To donate, just drop-off new, unopened packages of disposable children diapers (up to size 6), pull-ups and wipes at the following Chesterfield County and Colonial Heights public libraries during their respective business hours:

- Bon Air
- Central
- Chester
- Clover Hill
- Enon
- Ettrick-Matoaca
- LaPrade
- Meadowdale
- Midlothian
- North Courthouse
- Colonial Heights
- Chesterfield Government Complex
