RICHMOND, Va. -- VCU basketball equipment room assistant Jay Harris works hard to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Harris has overcome his own health issues to inspire those around him.
'I have heard that you are the unsung hero of VCU Athletics," Bree Sison said to Harris before she presented him with gifts as part of the CBS 6 Month of Giving.
Included in the gifts were items to help Jay continue his healthy eating.
"I don't know what your kitchen situation looks like. We have a bunch of stuff here, smoothie equipment to make smoothies, there are some tumblers in there, they've got straws, and spatulas and all the things that hopefully will take your smoothie game to the next level," Bree said.
