RICHMOND, Va. -- Sunday morning featured daybreak lows in the 20s for much of the state. There were some isolated spots that even dropped down into the teens. Clear skies and calm winds created a lot of frost.
For many locations, these were the coldest temperatures in seven to eight months. At Richmond International Airport, it was the coldest low since last winter.
While it will still be chilly Sunday night into Monday morning, a very light southwesterly wind combined with increasing cloud cover will keep temperatures in the 30s.
Low temperatures for the week ahead will stay in the 30s and lower 40s.
