Deputies search for suspect who decapitated dog in Gloucester

GLOUCESTER COUNTY, Va. — Deputies are asking for help to find out who entered a home and decapitated the homeowner’s dog in the middle of the night, WTKR reports.

The incident happened in the 7900 Block of Gum Neck Landing Road during the overnight hours between July 27 and July 28.

According to the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office, someone entered the residence and decapitated the homeowner’s pet dog.

The homeowners were not home at the time of the incident.

Nothing else in the residence was disturbed or stolen.

A necropsy was performed on the dog.

Deputies said their investigation is ongoing and no suspect description is available at this time.
