HANOVER COUNTY, Va. -- A seventh grade student was arrested after she allegedly got behind the wheel of her sister's car, crashed into another vehicle and then drove off.
Mary Zimmerman said her SUV was T-boned just after midnight Thursday at the busy intersection of Route 360 and Bell Creek Road.
“The girl didn't stop, she came through the intersection and hit me," Zimmerman said.

What Zimmerman said made it worse was the 13-year-old driver took off.
"[She] threw it in reverse and floored it around me," Zimmerman said.
She was able to snap a picture just in case, but another man behind her followed the car and called Hanover County 911.
Deputies determined the teen had taken her older sister’s car out for a late-night joyride.
The damage to Zimmerman’s SUV looks minor, but with only liability coverage, the Hanover mother said she will most likely have to pay out-of-pocket.
"There's frame damage," Zimmerman explained.
The teenager has been charged with misdemeanor hit-and-run. She was not charged with stealing the car because deputies said her sister did not want to press charges.
