Earth Day Richmond takes place at Great Shiplock Park

Posted

RICHMOND, Va. – Hundreds turned out for the 23rd annual Earth Day Richmond celebration at Great Shiplock park Saturday.

The James River was a beautiful backdrop for live music, kayak rides and even a hip-hop dance class --all to educate people on how to take care of our planet.

“We want them to take away the importance of the environment whether it’s recycling planting a tree staring a new community garden, taking and using goats for goat scaping we want people to go home with a little more knowledge of how to treat the earth better.” Enrichmond Foundation Executive Director John Sydor said.
